Photos from the mountains of Crete, the roads have been improved with the help of European funding yet they were relatively untrampled on by cars or tourists! Many of the roads clung to the edge of the mountains and made it difficult to stop to get good photos, where there's a will, there's a way eh!

we were touring through the smoky mountains of Crete. The roads were almost empty of traffic and the views were more than scenic! But we had to laugh, the only place where we could stop our car to take photos of these scenic mountain views happened to be where the Greeks had offloaded the local waste!
